Statement in Support of Trump’s Call for Voter Fraud Probe

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN.) – January 25, 2017: The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) today issued a statement in support of President Trump’s call for a “major investigation into voter fraud.”

“President Trump’s decision to renew the federal government’s interest in enforcing laws against election fraud and the procedures that work to prevent such activities is important,” PILF President and General Counsel J. Christian Adams said. “The Obama Administration had the tools to fight voter fraud but let them gather dust. Because of that neglect of their duties, aliens got on the rolls, people voted multiple times and lawlessness took hold of our elections.”

PILF’s actions this week highlight the need for President Trump’s latest announcement. The organization reached a settlement in Noxubee County, Mississippi, to clean up its voter roll, currently bloated at 110% voter registration. In Manassas, Virginia, the organization is due in court to force the release of information relating to noncitizens being registered to vote there.
