NottinghamMD.com covered PILF’s records request in Maryland that uncovered Ian Andre Roberts, the former superintendent of schools in Des Moines, Iowa claimed U.S. citizenship while registering to vote in Maryland, despite being in the United States illegally.
Roberts, an illegal alien from Guyana with a standing deportation order, was recently detained by ICE after overstaying a student visa and working as a school administrator in multiple states. Although he never cast a ballot, unredacted voter-registration forms obtained by the Public Interest Legal Foundation reportedly show he falsely affirmed U.S. citizenship and remained on Maryland’s active voter rolls for years, contradicting prior claims by state officials that such cases “never happen.”
