PILF’s litigation and research have uncovered aliens registered to vote in five key battleground states.
In 2016, the Left cried Russia, Russia, Russia. They claimed the country’s foreign interference in our elections led to Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton to this day claims Trump was an illegitimate president. Then in 2020, they claimed the Hunter Biden laptop was a “Russian disinformation campaign” to influence the election.
For all their breathless concerns about foreign interference in American elections, the progressives have no interest in fixing federal law which allows foreigners to get registered to vote. This isn’t a myth. The Public Interest Legal Foundation has obtained government records, sometimes after years of litigation, revealing that aliens are registering and VOTING.
PILF research reveals aliens registered to vote in nearly every single battleground state
PILF is still in litigation against Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt to obtain records relating to a so-called “glitch” that allowed foreigners to register to vote for more than two decades. The Commonwealth has been fighting to keep these records concealed for more than six years.
Michigan: Across 12 Counties, Michigan identified and Removed 1,444 Foreigners from the Voter Roll.
PILF’s research reveals the most common way foreigners get registered to vote is through the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) aka “Motor Voter.” Under this law, if an applicant fills out the federal registration form completely, they must be registered to vote, period. States cannot seek documentary proof of citizenship before registering the applicant who submits a voter registration form printed by the federal government. Put simply, only an honor system prevents foreign citizens from easily registering to vote. All they need to do is claim to be a U.S. citizen with no further fact-checking allowed.
BOTTOM LINE: The real foreign interference in elections happens when foreigners cast ballots to elect American leaders. Lawmakers need to end the Motor Voter honor system.
