PILF Statement on Virginia Redistricting Vote

(Alexandria, VA) April 21, 2026 — Public Interest Legal Foundation President J. Christian Adams releases the following statement related to Virginia’s Proposed Constitutional Amendment Vote to redistrict its congressional map.

“Virginia’s redrawn map smothers political diversity. Rural interests are swallowed up by progressive urban dominance. The hypocrisy is thick. We have been lectured for years about political gerrymandering by the left. They hate it, until it delivers them power. Eyes shift now to PILF’s federal court challenge to California’s Prop 50 map — which violates the Fifteenth Amendment. We’re leading the charge to prove the California Legislature sorted voters by race to draw new congressional lines.”

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) is the nation’s only public interest law firm dedicated wholly to election integrity. The Foundation exists to assist states and others to aid the cause of election integrity and fight against lawlessness in American elections. Drawing on numerous experts in the field, PILF seeks to protect the right to vote and preserve the Constitutional framework of American elections.
