(Alexandria, VA) February 18, 2026 — The Public Interest Legal Foundation today announced that its former director of communications, Lauren Bis, has been promoted to assistant secretary for public affairs at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Bis served as PILF’s director of communications. During her tenure, the organization secured national media coverage across print, radio and broadcast television. She helped elevate complex legal and policy issues related to election integrity for a broad public audience.
