Public Interest Legal Foundation Launches Media Campaign to Uncover Perpetrators of Pennsylvania Voter Intimidation

June 4, 2025 | Alexandria, VA — The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) has initiated a comprehensive media and advertising campaign aimed at identifying those responsible for sending death threats to Pennsylvania voters who displayed pro-Trump signs during the 2024 election. This campaign includes a set of ads displayed on various websites along with a $2,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the individuals behind the threats.

In October 2024, numerous Pennsylvania residents received anonymous letters threatening violence against them and their families for their political support. The anonymous letters stated, “We know where you live… Your property, your family may be impacted, your cat may get shot… You tread on me at your peril.”

Despite the severity of these threats, neither state nor federal authorities have taken appropriate investigative actions. The United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) has refused to comply with subpoenas seeking information about the mailed threats, and the Pennsylvania State Police have not initiated investigations, directing victims to local law enforcement instead.

“The silence from law enforcement is deafening,” said Douglas Blair, PILF’s Director of Communications. “Our hope is that through informing the public and offering a reward, we can find the scum who did this.”

PILF has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleging violations of the Voting Rights Act and the Ku Klux Klan Act.

“We will not stand by while voters are threatened and authorities do nothing,” said J. Christian Adams, President of PILF. “This campaign is about protecting the fundamental right to vote without fear.”
