ALEXANDRIA, VA (July 8, 2026) – The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) praises Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin for the arrest of Denise Nataly Migliore, an Australian citizen who is alleged to have cast federal ballots.
“Aliens are voting in American elections. PILF has been proving that fact for over a decade,” said J. Christian Adams, PILF President and General Counsel. “The arrest of Denise Nataly Migliore underscores the problem. The Department of Homeland Security deserves credit for taking the problem seriously and acting. Only Americans should be selecting American leaders.”
PILF has produced numerous reports on alien registration and voting and how it happens. These include Steeling the Vote about Pennsylvania, Garden State Gotcha, and Safe Spaces. PILF has also led the nation in enforcing transparency obligations for election officials regarding alien registration and voting. These cases include PILF v. Manassas City, PILF v. City of Alexandria, PILF v. NC Board of Elections, and a win in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) is the nation’s only public interest law firm dedicated wholly to election integrity. The Foundation exists to assist states and others to aid the cause of election integrity and fight against lawlessness in American elections. Drawing on numerous experts in the field, PILF seeks to protect the right to vote and preserve the Constitutional framework of American elections.
